Reality is confusing

And death is for sure

A wish of my choosing

Would be for death a cure

 

I hate being uncertain

But life begs to differ

It’s mostly disconcerting

Cause death begs to differ

 

I’ll always remember you

Your laugh and your quirks

But soon they’ll bury you

And frankly that sucks

 

My heart bleeds

And my eyelids

Are fragile from

Releasing all this pain

 

For now, I cease to write

For life’s journey I’ll keep this fight

I wish you were here though

Oh Dipo. Why did you have to go

 

But I’m sure I’ll see you

Hopefully not anytime soon

For now I’ll carry the joys

Of cracking jokes with you

 

You were intelligent, smart

We had some deep conversations

Some weird ones too

Goodbye my friend, goodbye

 

Sleep well, the earth’s loss. Bye, bye, bye dipo. Of all the sad goodbyes I’ve had to say yours hurt the most. Bye. Your Friend Tomi

 

 

             

Author's Note

Lost a friend Today...still shocked..unbelievable..was in denail through out today. Not really a tribute just me rambling in sorrow. Life is tough but i'm sure he'll tell me to move on..
