Running from Godzilla

Running from Godzilla

A Story by TomEYou
"

A very strange dream.

"

It’s the moving dream again.  One of those where I move from room to room, building to building, place to place, trying to find something yet never getting there, or if I do, wanting to go back, only now it’s even harder the other way. The rooms in this dream are eclectic. The walls are pitch black and go every which way, often ending in nothing. The edge of these walls is like black squares, sort of like a picture frame that is part of the end of the wall. At some point I’m running from a human-sized Godzilla. Now I’m thinking the guys from the Big Bang Theory are running with me, Leonard, Howard, and Raj. But not Sheldon. (Afterthought; Was I supposed to be Sheldon?) We’re running all through this quirky, twisted building. Pass several faceless women. Now there are white stairs and ramps going down in different places in different ways, the direction we want to go, but they all go nowhere. Now, I turn and hug the monster. Only it’s not a monster, it’s my sister, one I’ve been having a very difficult time with. Now I’m going to find her. I’m in a room higher up in the building. She’s on a stage, sleeping under a blanket. There’s another woman sleeping nearby on the same stage. I grab a blanket so I can sleep while I wait for her to wake, only I can’t sleep, so I leave. Then I wake.

Well, dreams are wierd. Dr. Freud would no doubt tell you what it all means. From my perspective, it just sounds like a guy who's trying to cope with a world of difficulties.
