FriendA Poem by TomboyVisionaryFriend I hear him, everyday since I tasted blood in that horrid day Why won't you be quiet and just shut up? Is this a sin? if it is then I would gladly be obliged Forever more since I lost myself it felt nothing but right Are you an alien? are you another part of my soul? Will my answers be bestowed when I stop asking dumb questions to this wretched stench they call the human brain Perhaps all my questions will be answered at the time of my death Which he saved me from in the darkest times of horrific calamity It feels immoral as it feels so normal When I hear you, my friend, my shield, my sergeant in arms Against the countless of wars we have endlessly fought together To many we have lost, a myriad more we have won together as one singular soul The hell we saw, the hell that drowned us in the deepest depths it could possibly go We died and we laughed for we both knew that no matter how bad it got We both kicked out of two, We spit the rickety spit they spat and stood firmly on this earthly ground without a single inch back Alas, in the days of my youth it didn't matter if we were in the wrong Horror shoots an arrow in our doorstep we never once ran away The love, the hate, the joy, the sorrow, the fear We endured, we suffered, we laughed as we brooked Even when your not here I hear you linger, and I would know its you My dearest friend, must it be my greatest sin I pray to the loving Lord to carve a path for you to enter his Holy Kingdom My dearest friend O my dearest loving friend
