Firefly

I am a firefly tasting freedom
In a lonely night, a broken kingdom
Without a care, roaming freely
Embracing the void of existence dearly

A glimmering light, grit of hopeful violence in my glands
For the whole world is in my hands
We come as many, warriors of the living
You may seek our brightness amongst the pigeon's

If you come with us, you must walk through the blizzard
Must you feel lost, just follow the buzzards

When things break, things shatter
The necessary pain of life where strong hearts turn thin
You are never alone, we may have crossed paths if you let me in

Without held light in the darkness
You won't see the sun again for some time to come
Master it, there won't be a day where you've broken out in love

Rest in Peace
