You Are

You are weak, you are pathetic

What past brought up such an aesthetic?

Perhaps you didn't have it easy

The life that passed you wasn't all that breezy

Allow me to see beneath you to stroll

So I may speak to you through my soul

The voice in your head, it loves to taunt you of the past

The reckoning of self harm, where nothing really lasts

I get it, hear this from a man with a tortured image

It may feel like it will never get better, but the truth is it never will

Let it beat you or run from it, but never stay still

Free yourself from the chains of modern society that force you to be what

Walk the earth with purpose, seek the universe opportunities with a strut

You have the power of the strength that sleeps inside

Cast the demons aside and let your true essence take over the mind

As for better days? They arrive when you've come out of the lowest

But never think that its the end of it, tougher days will come at your strongest

You are the one who must muster the strength and wisdom you gathered to combat it

Nobody enters the grave a perfect being

We rest with the love and hate we spread as we are leaving

Live your life as you are, if the masses speak ill then so be it

be wary of the person you choose to be, it will echo in the thousands you meet

The past is a shadow of gray memories fulfilled

Why think about it when today is what should be instilled

Who you were yesterday does not matter

But rest assured the masses would love to clatter

You are the only one responsible for the idea of your character

Consume the spasms of pain, see yourself become the image of the stallion in your head

You are the mighty, the brave, the sword sharpened through your skin of iron in your own

stead

I really liked this line
"be wary of the person you choose to be, it will echo in the thousands you meet"

I might've used a few less words but, otherwise I think this whole poem is perfect. You seem a little too familiar with personality disorder symptoms to just "know someone" with a personality disorder. Of course I could be wrong, having a personality disorder makes me prone to that... we like to project our disorders onto other people. Even when we are aware, we can still be terrible people. Hence the stigma I imagine.
