There Is a Cottage in the Country

There Is a Cottage in the Country

A Poem by Tomás Ó Cárthaigh

The picture of the cottage brought to mind the wistful dreams of emigrants from Ireland and the idealist vision they have of life back in the "auld sod"

Again it was both special and a privilege to hear your voice read your own words, gentle and sensitive they were too and telling a long story in few words. However, maybe cos I love folk music, I found myself concentrating on the music and wonder if it could be toned down.
