Man Is But a LeafA Poem by Tomás Ó CárthaighMan is but a leaf in the winds of lifeIn the fall of life each showing age
The human seated and the browning leaves Each getting stiffer with passing time Each passing day slowly thieves The beauty and the youth Of the leaf and the person of age The leaf will fall to blow around The person shall move to another stage Each waves in the wind, and the winds of life As on each the sun does set Each enjoying the last saps of their Autumn days That herald the coming of Death. ==============================
