Neither Love Nor Like Me

Neither Love Nor Like Me

A Poem by Tomás Ó Cárthaigh
"

Poem inspired by a quotation from Jack Adler

"

"Don't love me. Don't even like me. Just respect me as a fellow human being"
---- Jack Adler

I ask not your love, I had a mother who loved me
I have a God who loves me, no-one loves like He

I ask you not to like me, I have freinds who like me
I have family too that like me, thats all I need them to be

Just respect me as human, for I too am a man
Not all men respect each other, its something everyone can.

I visited Jack's website. This never can't be showed enough. We
always need to remember. I am glad there are such who do this work
with youth so this never would repeat again. Such a survivor is our
literary critic Reich-Ranitzki. I watched those days "My life" movie about
him. We can learn a lot from them. Nobody asked them ever if they need
a psychologist. they just did what had to be done, yeah. great poem, as I said..
