Stuck in the Friendzone

Love gets to easier with age, especially when you fall into the trap of being freinds first, before moving closer... such is love, and such is life...

Stuck in the friend zone, her heart is bruised,
By a fool who knew not what he had…
When gone they are forever the song says,
Good girls gone bad…
I, poet, life’s romantic,
Too late, prehaps in this game,
Due to the folly of a fool before…
Such is life, cruel, hard, the shame!
The Gods of Love, abandoned their jobs
When Christ came the world to rule,
Men like me write of broken hearts,
Where the cad is a hero, and the lovers a fool…
