Fleeting Glance

Fleeting Glance

A Poem by Tomás Ó Cárthaigh
"

Meeting a girl at a railway station

"
It was just a fleeting glance,
As I was passing there,
There was no possibility of love,
For me with the lady fair.
We live the rush and go of life,
Till ourselves we hardly know...
You will never get to know or love the girl
When you don't even say hello!

I, too, have experienced this. Perhaps many have. Such a small thing on the surface, that fleeting glance can be of such significance that its recalled for years. You express well this phenomenon.
