Cease II

Cease II

A Poem by Tom27

On your deathbed,
New perspective no longer matter,
Ceasing to exist,
Back into the soil your vessel goes.
As for you,
Whether to the fiery depths or the boundless horizon,
I wish you godspeed.

At that point, nothing matters anymore apart from saying goodbyes, if you are able to. Most are past that. That is a journey each one of us will have to make. I like the possibilities raised here of not knowing what comes next.

Tom,
Ah, death, the great equalizer! An interesting view of the physical end of a person. I sense also a possible continuing of what we call the soul,

Death is inevitable, creeping towards us all. There is no escaping. What comes to this realm must one day leave everything behind and disappear into the ever darkness, mingling with the soil. Just my thoughts. Really love your theme of writing. Kinda reflects my own style. Keep it up. :)
