Mental Block

Examination-induced emotions.

You can read them,

You just can't remember.

 

The words, the characters,

Just stare blatantly at you;

Threatening those already formed waves

To spill out of your eyes.

 

As your sight is fixated on them,

You recalled that they once screamed at you,

Sending turmoil through your nights of revision.

They look really familiar.

Inspired by a recent national examination I took recently. Thank God I snapped out of the daze and completed my paper. It would be disastrous if I didn't. Mental block indeed.
