Last sunset

Last sunset

A Poem by Writing_angel
"

No one ever gets younger, they always get older. It's a poem devoted toward grandmothers accross the nation.

"

Ripples spread across your face,

Knurled branches clutch your hands.

The stars twinkle softly in you eyes,

And the rain cause aches in your bones.

How your love envelops everyone.

How your moods effect the house hold.

How your teasing make us laugh.

Oh how your age hurts so.

Oceans pour from our eyes.

Rivers soak the shoulders of others.

Slowly, creeks become overflowed.

The wind finally pushed you too far.

Cold as bitter fall winds.

Chilly as desert nights.

Moonlight skin outshines snow white hair.

Warmth will never enter again.

Dream of easy times.

Feel the comfort of circling arms.

Watch over us with your love by your side.

Love us, even if you’re far away.
