Closer

If only we were slightly closer

Things might be different

Seeing you would be a reality

Smelling you would be all I would ever do

Hearing your voice

Is the mellifluous music my soul has thirsted for

And will dance to

Feeling your warm skin against me

As we lay under a blanket of stars

Ready to visit the Moon, Mars,

Perhaps Pluto.

If only we were slightly closer

Perhaps all I would ever know

Would be the taste of your lips against mine..

As we dissolve into fiery brimstone

And hellfire

All I will ever know

Is salty seawater

As the Seven Seas stand sentinel

Between us.
