ah, i hate when the phone is left off the hook. Now, what would be a thrilling story would be if you put it to your ear and someone was talking to you. ;^)

I don't understand. A story with six words? Now, the idea of taking a phone off the hook so it won't ring and it rings anyway is a really good and yes, chilling idea. But it leaves me wanting more....which is probably the feeling in readers that you wished to elicit. Duh...it took me awhile but I figured it out. One of the pleasures of writing (especially stories) is to write something that leaves the reader wanting more. So, the more I think about it, this is very good and it rates a 95 out of 100. Great job! (Plus you got to witness me going from dumb and embarrassed to enlightened all in a few lines.) take care...dan
