Something to which all of us can relate to as writers
The pen sits in my hand
Snug as a gun
But where to begin?
Should I describe
the wonders of Mother Nature
Should I describe the hustle bustle
Of everyday life
Should I delve into my feelings
My experiences, my escapades, my Sherlock-Holmes stories
Of which I have aplenty
Or do nothing?
My pen rests in my hand
Snug as a gun
To write would be a folly
To return it to it's scabbard
Would mean certain death
I am a sucker for creative poems such as this one. You really thought outside the box here. Just by reading a couple of your pieces, I can tell you have a knack for being humorous.
Just last night, I was going through this very journey while trying to pen something down. It's amazing how frustrating it gets.
Nevertheless, it was an entertaining read for me. Looking forward to reading more of your art!

Have an awesome day ahead!
This is excellent. I feel like this when I sit to write and have writer's block. What should I write? Will it be good enough? All those thoughts.
Great job giving people a peak inside a writer's mind!

Thank you Ashley! Have an awesome day ahead:) A pleasure to hear such a genuine review.
Yep, I can relate to this one. Each time I sit down to write I think and think and think about what is going to be the most effective use of my time, and sometimes an idea pops into my head, while other times I have to keep getting up and down and mulling around before something resonates. I almost feel possessed in a strange way when I am writing, because it sort of comes out of nowhere, but I'm dedicated in that I will sit until something happens, even if it's not fantastic at the time. Very relatable piece for other poets and writers.
