Morning AblazeA Poem by Tkess
Burning dawn Scorches in refrain Searching through scrambled thoughts For just a moment to find myself
My eyelids propped open at half-mass As the moon sails across the sky, Like a ship at sea Crashing against the white waves Avoiding the yellow-red impression
The dew drips from branches of White Oak As the wine of daylight creeps through the hillside The horizon unfolds like some wicked origami Luring me to the light
Shadows dancing on this thin flame of tomorrow But we lie smoldering in the embers of the night Motionless, as meaningless as our words But as beautiful as our thoughts, that were lost in the meantime
Scented twilight of distant skies Through purple hued awakenings As love harbors on the edge Of dream dipped illusions © 2012 TkessFeatured Review
