The Old Man and the SeaA Poem by Tkess
Like an old man at sea We are all chasing that one That got away, In our own way
If only our desires burned with Lightening thunder Maybe our dreams wouldn’t be so Quickly forgotten
And this candle has been burning for so long
Pass the time like a broken clock Nailed to the hallway wall Waiting for time to fill your cup Not knowing it’s cracked and spilling through Memories haunt like a fog on shore Before burning away
And the young men just watch The crashing waves Not sure why the old man Finds it so fascinating © 2012 Tkess |
