Helpless

Helpless

A Poem by Tkess

Colorful neon against the black sky

The moon's being shy tonight

Hiding behind a blanket of white

These empty streets make me feel so

Helpless

Bleed in your own light,

Dream before the starry night

Changes to a newsprint grey

I feel faint whispers in the wind

I can hear the sounds of violins

It all leaves me so

Helpless

Cruel, cruel clouds

That hides the sun

Leaves outside dance and play

Memories chain me to the day

Thoughts of you leave me so

Helpless

Light from your window

Makes such peculiar patterns

On my soul

Words rest upon your lips

Your eyes just give you away

They sing to me somehow

And leave me so

Helpless

The full detailed sentences really exasperate the meaning, however, well done, good read.

a somber and detailed write, rich in imagery, and a thought process of contemplation for the reader...well done.

Gorgeous, I simply love it. The moonlight that you write shines down upon your words illuminating them and their melancholy. The style that you write in allows a river of fluidity to create a path through the story, whilst a tune of despair is hummed by the imagery drawn for the reader. You guide the reader through your meaning, whispering your hurt in our ear and allowing us to feel it along with you, pull us in with your depth, we are connected to the words, and feel them in our minds. Loneliness drips down the surface creating such juxtaposition with your beauty. Well done.
