Faded Edges

Faded Edges

A Poem by Tkess

Put your hair back, we got to leave

Seven gallows rise in the spring

Heart burning on your sleeve

Seven shadows fall away

Dead trees like broken hands

Holding you back

Reflections, not me staring back

Drink up; you led this horse too far

Clothes crumbled on the floor

Try the suit that fits your needs

Speak out; not in turn

Drink up the night; coin a phrase

Scratch my back, make it bleed

You know what they say about idle hands

Drink another just for me

Toss this corpse in the sea

Speaking in tongues with phlegmatic lips

Wasted words,

Read the scene where gravity pulls

Read the scene where mountains fall

Read the scene where oceans turn black,

You held the sky in your arms
