Dawn

Dawn

A Chapter by Tkess

Dawn can’t decide

It rises and falls into slumber

The sound of fall crashes into us

Cymbals like shotguns

Symbols, our X marks no spot at all

It moves through the haze

Like the gold at the end of a rainbow

There, but not

Like autumn leaves on the tree

Colorful and dying
