Sell-out

Sell-out

A Poem by Tkess

Shaved this morning with a

Rusty tuna can lid

Used the shavings to

Write my manifesto

Of love and war

(One in the same)

The night shines

With a broken edge

As the clock ticks

Like a gunshot

        [Right through me]

Bathed last night

In day old brine

Just to preserve

My integrity

Stowed my heart

                             (Before it wasted away)

Ripped my eyes out

To gather a new pair

See myself from

Another point of view

                                [Could this be déjà vu?]

Tore myself down

To build back up again

Replaced my innards

With something

(Fluffy and white)
