Social, Ain't I?A Poem by TkessOr anti social?
I sit at the sidewalk café and Watch the people Not much else to do I see them, but I don’t They are just silhouettes Hazy outlines of Failures Success Broken homes Broken hearts
Cars parked in the lot Birds shitting on our shoulders We all have some place better to be But we don’t
We just like to think we do
Women walk by in their Sunday best God must be a voyeur by the looks of it
It’s noon
What you see is what you see Rarely is it the truth Just a hasty interpretation We still curse this heat And scratch our balls, and Search for explanations
I get up to order another coffee I don’t go for that fru fru s**t I like my beer to taste like beer And my coffee to taste like coffee And my women to taste like white wine And one more night © 2011 Tkess |
