No Rhyme or Reason

No Rhyme or Reason

A Poem by Tkess

Whose turn to pay the piper

Is it a penny or six pence?

No matter, and

None the richer

You sit on the fence

Wall divided

Hey, miss Alice

Is that a wasp in your wig?

Judge others by their deeds

And not by their words

The sheep’s wool

Hides the wolf inside

Oh, little boy

Why so blue?

This world on a string

Just for you

Can’t you see for

The light of day?

I’ve never seen such a sight

There’s none so blind

That’s you, not me

Ring around the Rosie

Those grand old times

I remember my childhood

As the night declines

some things don't need an explanation, with or with out
rhyme and reason....I love how you modernized the nursing rhyme characters into real life situation with man too child cadence .... brilliant stuff
