After the Dawn

After the Dawn

A Poem by Tkess

The days change blue to gray

The colors have lost their meaning

The wind is flawed as it moves

Through the trees, bending

Time, feelings asunder

The sky weeps, another

Nameless nihilist

Pushing against the mountains

Of acceptable norms

The nights are desolate

The stars provoked

How dare you make your journey

Beneath their panoptic cover?

The light of the neoteric sun

Will mourn the fallen moon

As it is pushed once again

Into slumber,

Reluctant hibernation

The planets aligned, but

Your feelings unchanged

They care not for your mindset

How I love your words, they weave tales of truth around images of darkened skies and pregnant wombs, hanging heavy the world carries on being, whilst a traveler embarks for a returning journey. The stars indignation is palpable yet unable to un-stick themselves from the sky they mumble in annoyance, beautiful words line the page and as the ink sets they pass onto the words a beauty of reality merging with the hazed clarity of wonder.
