The Great Divide

The Great Divide

A Poem by Tkess

The Great Divide

These thoughts of you

Tickle my mind

Dreams laced with memories

Flying so high

Hushed stars fall

From your eyes

You lay, reticent pose, but

Still yearning, burning

For something greater

The dream plays on

There were clouds

In my pockets

And visions of you

Danced like nymphs in

The moonlight

This frail reality

Of what we think

We know, crumbles

Beneath weighted dreams, the

Subconscious craves the spotlight

Flashes of memories, desires

Audible queues of

Our recollections

Play within our minds eye, like

A projector aimed at a screen

Faces melt within themselves

A kaleidoscope of color

Kisses the sky, the direct eyes

Of a sweet seductress
