ArmisticeA Poem by Tkess
Unearthing the fallen saint You enter the temple of a forsaken god Through tangled half-truths And benevolent lies
A flame hangs in the distance Pendant choking your neck Severed shrouds of fault and blame Emotively torn, asunder
The hollowness reverberates As indifference talks, Truths halved and lies proclaimed Ad nauseam
Hissing phrases Flung to the wayside, garbage Thin veil hiding the essential Fundamental, of which many Will never find
Clashing serpents and Empty dispositions Staff of Colossus lost Amongst the rubble
Between birth and death Survival apathetic Burn out the days Blame the knights; I dub thee, sir
Baptism by fire
Take what you want Leave the rest Push it all away The impression it leaves Will be gone in time Learn nothing from the experience
Brain matted gray What does it matter?
Call a truce to these Imprudent and irrational ways Who cast the first stone, who cares The journey is far too short © 2011 Tkess |
