Anima Sola (The Forsaken Soul)A Poem by TkessA mix of demons Clashing and struggling To save the damaged inside But still the disposition Remains jaded, cynical
Twin faces, Gods and goddesses Staring through knowing eyes Fear and loathing Still claw at man Turning love to hate, Compassion to apathy
Eshu, dressed in black and red Lays down the cards For the fortunate and unfortunate alike He cares not for their fate
Cannons firing from the mouths of man Usher in the silence of death A funeral procession Leading through the depths of hell
Severed moon, Dripping red o’er the countryside As Death marches through the stars and forgotten days Through the darkness a pinhole of light can be seen Before it flickers and fades © 2011 TkessReviews
