Castles Made of SandA Poem by Tkess
the dust fell and scattered. the dust of worlds before. of cities of polished sand shining bright under the yellow sun.
she spoke of angels. with wings of radiant gold. too heavy for their minds to hold. our songs soon fell silent.
she spoke of dreams of the far edge of the earth. were water disappeared and fell like heavy rains on a summer afternoon.
she spoke of love. like lush forests of brilliant green. the winds whispered through the trees. softly mumble to the summer leaves.
she spoke of the ignorant. who praised the masters before the slaves. who praised the gods before the mortals and watched our sand castles crash to the sea. © 2013 Tkess
