A Chapter by Tkess

When yesterday's words become tomorrow's voice.

Love and promises spoken with the same besotted tongue.

Midwinter days become a season of their own.

Drifting like the mind and snow.

Suspended in time, cold and bright,

With sunlight beating off the hills.

That uncertain time in mid-afternoon.

History sits with ambivalent reason.

Your future is now of your heart and mind.
