if only

A fantasy poem. I attempted a rhyme this time, because I wanted it to be a little light-hearted. I only wish this website had more fonts to choose from. :)

if only

If people were gay for a day,

were allowed to say what they may,

no need to shout or come out.

If only this day could remain.

 

Emotions conveyed by male gays

with affections displayed in cafés.

“Taboo” loves would sprout without doubt.

If only this day could remain.

 

No more would gays grey and decay,

as no lover would stray and betray.

Relationships stout and devout.

If only this day could remain.

 

No need to shout or come out…

Hm. Interesting to say the least. Makes me wonder if you're gay, or if you just wrote this to write it. I like how you used the different fonts. I also saw you used the third line of the first three stanza's in the fourth stanza. (If that made sense) I thought it was really creative. :)
