One KissA Poem by Tiffany EliseHehe <3Growing up together, A tale of two, Their parents joked, But who knew it’d come true? He’s now a senior, She’s only thirteen, But they liked each other, More than she could dream. She grabbed his hand, And fell into his chest, Listened to his heartbeat, And felt at rest. He kissed her forehead, Soft and sweet, She closed her eyes, But tried to be discreet. He caught the hint, And they leaned in, Forehead to forehead, Chin to chin. Her head tilted left, His tilted right, Their lips touched, And fireworks ignite. Perfect seconds, Had gone and passed, And the best part of the kiss? They pulled away, But with smiles so wide, For the first time in years, They both felt alive. So maybe overused, In a common movie script, But it was so easy for her, To lose reality’s grip. She fell in love with him that night, All because one kiss was right. © 2011 Tiffany EliseAuthor's Note
