HypocriteA Poem by Tiffany EliseSee the title? We all deal with one of THEM eventually.... It's freeverse by the way....You think you know me, you think you understand me, you say you know the feeling, of sorrow and hate, but you're confusing my feelings, with who I am.
I am not sorrow, I am not hate, although I often feel it, for those like you, and them, and the people we often call friends.
The thing I'm upset about, is not that you think I love you, is not that you think you're perfect, is not that you think I''m evil, it's because it's always a double standard, and completely hypocritical.
Such a hypocrite... I'm not allowed to do this, but you do it all the time, I'm not allowed to say that, but you constantly say it, since when is that fair?
The other thing? own my life, my friends, and my soul, because I'm not trusted.
I trusted you, until you starting checking everything I do, but now that I don't trust you, I'm the bad guy, when you did the SAME THING? ...First?
Double standards, Hypocritical, and wrong, but somehow, you'll always win, because I don't feel like having my life taken away, for telling you my opinion. © 2011 Tiffany Elise |
