In Your Mind

In Your Mind

A Poem by T. Hart

Do you stop and think about,
All the the things you learn in life?
Do you sit and ponder thoughts
Of tender minds and subtle hearts?

Have you ever seen,
A single strand of hope?
A poor man clinging to his coin,
Or a desperate lover with a rope.

Do you hold close to you,
Everything you favor?
An unknown flash guilt,
Your passion never wavers.

In your own mind,
In your own state,
Tell me the things
You love and hate.

If you can keep your mind,
Safe and still, at all times,
Then you and only you,
Can comprehend a message for two.
