Rocks girl

Rocks girl

A Poem by Bibliophile-Tipsy

I saw a girl collecting

rocks by the sea,

like they were memories of dreams discarded

Picking up one by one strewn

and

Counting rocks into the cradle

that looked like a million eyes

Each with a story to tell,

a story so rich and full that

there isn’t enough of life to listen.

Except

Girl who is now gone with her rocks.

I think she is resting in her window

listening to the whispers of her dreams.

I,

am left wondering
Which rocks were mine?
