IN THE DARKA Poem by Evelynne Tionge
I am reaching for the light to save me from this dark
Yet It seems unattainable even by dusk May be i have lost my sight and become blind By the unbreakable corded ties that bind Tomorrow is intwined in yesterday And Night in the break of day A black dove perches on my window Overlooking a dark sunset over the meadow My skyline is ever a deep crimson Melancholy engulfs my reason Stars have fled the the night sky in hiding Leaving a thick darkness so blinding The dark clouds now weep mahogany rain Chocking the life out of my grey prairie plain The air is filled with the death song by a Raven Never once has it ever sung of heaven © 2013 Evelynne TiongeReviews
