MAYBEA Poem by Evelynne Tionge
What would you do if you were me
If our lives were not merely connected by pages Would you lie down and let everything just be Or change to blend into all the passive stages Would you coil up in a corner and cry your heart out Or possibly put on a mastered plastic smile Would you feel the weight of lonliness's shout Or perharps let it go with every step and mile Would your questions and answers reconcile Or would "i am fine" be enough to convice you Would you just step back and be senile When the truth arrived at being untrue Would you maybe Shut your eyes and believe you are secure As this tale is only a few pages of your mind Or would your unfaced demons regard you unsure And drag you to your closet's dark hind This is here and now in my case I have to go through this arm wrestle against pain Maybe i will catch the wind i reluctantly chase Or lose my way running after the last plane © 2013 Evelynne TiongeReviews
