Mother nature and Me

day to day thoughts

As the sun sets, the ocean glows orange and the blue sky darkens. 

I look up and around, where is the moon tonight? 

All I see are airplane lights flashing, where are the stars tonight?

The lack of nature's presence tonight feels lonely. 

Where do I go to escape the chaos of life if I can't come back to mother nature?

My love I am here looking for you, are you as well? 

You bring me back to myself and the present moment. 

I feel secure and calm alongside you. 

You have a special place in my heart. You are my home. 

The night can be both a peaceful and a scary place. 

It becomes dark and quiet.

1000 unnecessary thoughts filter to 100 deep thoughts. 

The mind becomes still and reflective. 

Like I've gone underwater, all the noise dissipates. 

It's just me in my raw form, real thoughts. 

So many complex feelings in a small being.

So many small issues compared to the big world. 

It can be uncomfortable to sit with, but it is necessary. 

I feel alone at night with my thoughts. 

It feels all too much, too big sometimes. 

Just as if I were a lost little star struggling to shine in the darkness of the night. 

I feel inadequate, hopeless, and afraid going about life. 

In contrast I desire to feel peace within myself, valued, loved and seen. 

Every day the moon and stars are there even if I don't see them, they shine. 

Every day I am, I show up, I try, I put effort and care in my being. 

We are interconnected, mother nature and me. 

We shine every day together.

For each other to keep going.
