Corner

Corner

A Poem by Marie

Always safer in a corner
Back against the wall
Head on knees
Trying not to fall

Chaos around
Stretching to touch
Hiding a face, a fear
Enough, Enough

Thoughts race
A plate of life overfull
Things dripping over the side
It is either push or pull

Litter of pain surrounds
Like trash upon the floor
A reminder that it is not over
Thinking what it's all for

There is no focus
Thoughts are too many
Drown in it all
