Land Of RuinA Poem by Tina KlineFor the CREATIVE POETRY group. It was a hot afternoon
Humidity swirled high The creature was fretful Ardent feelings flared There was nothing jovial happening The heat crept across the landscape The creature glared at the sun How unmerciful and lethal it was The creature spread it's bat like wings wide It had no allure beyond it's frightful image It's voice exploded across the dying landscape Clamant and demanding in it's sound The creature lifted up into the white lifeless sky Creating a painful rupture in the atmosphere Poison rained back down to the landscape below No life would ever grow from this toxic moisture © 2012 Tina KlineAuthor's Note
