Heavenly Moon

Heavenly Moon

A Poem by Tina Kline

heavenly moon
shining down on our night
what secrets you conceal
in the depths of your dark shadows
where everything seems surreal
oh
heavenly moon
I look up to you but I don't worship
I am in awe
but the light you spill forth
creates fear
beauty in disguise
when the sun's light shines
stark reality glares
we wake up
to at last fight
for ourselves
for our country
for our lives

Awesome poetic imagery of a beautiful vision of a moon floating high in the sky with its mystical shine!

The moon is magical and wonderous to look at, and brings peace to some.

The moon does hold many secrets. I like the story and the strong ending in the poem.
"I look up to you but I don't worship
I am in awe"
Thank you for the excellent poem.

Ah yes, come out of the shadows and face reality even if it isn't as lovely and peaceful as the shadows.

This is gorgeous, plus an important warning that we must do what we we can to keep it that way.
