Where Was The Challenge?

Where Was The Challenge?

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

Vampire. For the Creative Poetry Group. Words used are underlined.

"
Two pale hands holding the wire
by the handles
he cried out once
then gasped as he was strangled
his struggles were useless
the garrote was final
his shudders were a pleasure for his killer
her cleavage rose and fell
in her excitement
she carried his dead body away
placing it gently on the bed cushions
there she waited
watching him in death
eagerly awaiting his awakening
hours came and went
yet he remained still
her amorous feelings started to fade
she grew worried
wondering what she did wrong
her frustrating cries started to vibrate
echoing back and forth
about the room
after awhile she stood up in irritation
Useless man, she muttered as she left the room
entering the night
she went in search of another
her bite and blood didn't always
result in a successful turning
the vampiress would try again
certain she'd be successful
doing this she didn't enjoy in a terrible way
human males were
after all
copious in number
where was the challenge?
