Luminous Ocean

Luminous Ocean

a soft whispery sigh
as in the night
ebony seagulls do fly

wandering along the night blue beach
luminous waves cresting high
forever inland they do reach

treasures tossed and turned by the waves
rising upward in the perpetual tides
the ocean gives up what's hidden in its graves

secrets on the salty breeze
magic listening in
gossamer tendrils from many dreams

wander here and risk enchantment
spells weaved over and over again
quickly enough it becomes entrapment

there's danger here all around
some who walk here
disappear beyond earth's fragile bounds

Very beautiful, who hasn't wanted to just wander off and disappear into some enchanted beautiful place? Love this!

Watery graves and wandering souls lost forever. I love the details that are spun in this poem bringing your words and the photo to life.

I like the field trip to the water. I walked the ocean and can learn or find something new each time. Mystery of the sea is hidden unless you look very hard. I like the ending to the outstanding poem.
