Re-Making Her

Re-Making Her

.........

She is beautiful
But she is not alive
A beauty undead
With too many wounds
Where pain on her has fed

She is lovely
But she is not alive
So she sat down and prayed
Please put me back together
Let me be re-made

She is gorgeous
But she is not alive
Patched up with needle and thread
Now happy she always smiles
Not alive but better than dead

This was fun to read! Love the use of the painting. Love the flow, and the ending brought it altogether.

I like how you used this painting to create a beautiful thought. I like the last stanza the most.
