Spring:The Rose

Spring:The Rose

A Poem by Tina Kline

A tight bud clinging
With a hint of life showing
Waiting for the warmth of the sun
Waiting for the gentle rains
A hint of life unfurling
Reaching for the essence of alive
A whisper of pink explodes
Petals uncurl to embrace the sun
A cascade of petals into a rose
Brilliant with endless perfume wafting
Welcoming the teardrops of rain
Winter has passed and here is spring

We have a long wait here in Michigan. I like when the first buds of Spring begin to show up. It is Spring telling us. Soon warm days will come. I like your description of the birth of Spring and hope. Thank you for the excellent poem.
