The way I should have gone The path I should have taken Down that long snowy tree lined road Thinking back all these years later It leaves me feeling shaken It leaves me weak with regrets The things that could have been The life that I could have had If only that one fateful winter I had gone down that long snowy road Winters now bring only remorse A coldness that eats at my soul I breathe deeply of painful death I want to go back in time I want to fix the wrong I made But instead I drink deeply of bitterness For a winter's decision that will never fade
Life is full of regrets that we don't really notice until we've lived for a while. This poem has the cold feeling some regrets can leave us with. Great work!
The poem is amazing. Artwork and words took me to a cold and lonely place. I had to read a few time for pleasure. Regret is heavy in the words. Thank you for the excellent poem.

The way you have tied the winter's decision to the cold hard facts of life is interesting and well delivered! We may often want only the warmth of the sun, but find that life is much too cold!!
