Large white snowflakes fall
swirling to the earth
accumulating into an enchanting landscape

Spruce trees grow tall
pointing to the white sky
mistletoe hangs from their branches
little cherry flowers unfurl their petals
against the trees dark green background

Little chickadees gather
peeping as they flutter from tree to tree
some hop about in the snow
leaving their little tracks behind

Several white tail deer come visiting
a jovial looking black bear appears
leaving large tracks in the ivory snow

Little rabbits peek from beneath
the spruce trees low hanging boughs
their twitching noses appearing mirthful
then they quickly disappear

More large snowflakes continue to fall
silent and magical
painting the landscape silent and white

Took me to a good place in the poem. When I was young. A snow day was for sledding and having fun in the snow. I like the description of a beautiful winter day. Thank you for the excellent poem.

Beautiful imagery! Made when wish I was there in that under the spruce tree playing in the snow.
