Graveyard RoseA Poem by Tina KlineWritten for Creative Poetry Group. In the swirling mists coiling about the graveyard She stood there, white as marble and just as unreal looking Her eyes were like two coals burning in the dark Her fanged smile was seductive and alluring
She moved like a ghost as she walked from the graveyard Out on the night dark city street she seemed to glow Her tight black dress gave her a tempting Gothic charm But death was her love and all she had ever known
“Come to me” her pale lips seemed to be saying She knew one special man would soon be her victim She was all inviting lust with such sweet promises He would be hers before he knew his lethal situation
“You want me.” Her shimmering eyes seemed to express And yes he did, he wanted her so very badly She opened her arms and he willingly entered her embrace He eagerly gave himself to her, gave himself gladly
In the misty dark shadows she loved him as only a vampire could He surrendered to the ecstasy that he'd never experienced before She devoured his blood and took his life away from him In the arms of the sexiest woman ever his life ended with horror
Satisfied now she drifted back to her dark graveyard A smile on her marble face that didn't really say anything Her grave was waiting and she gladly returned to its comfort Come night she'd once more rise to ease her constant hunger pain
