Of The Wild

Of The Wild

A Poem by Tina Kline
"

For the Creative Poetry group. Words used: symphonic, burst, inferno, unearthly, metallic. pretentious

"
In the distance hear the wolves
Their cries rise and drop
Symphonic as they burst out
Onto the nighttime landscape

Beyond on the far horizon
A glow that slowly spreads
A fiery inferno grows in strength
Bleeding yellow and red across the land

The wolves voices are unearthly
Their eyes flash with metallic fire
The night stretches into unknown places
It's all a bit too pretentious to believe

This reminds me of the wildfires I see on tv and it makes me think these wolves are crying in sadness for a loss of a home. Love the wild imagery in this piece.
