My Autumn

Glorious splash of autumn shades
Red, yellows, orange and golden
The chill of fall is a certain relief
Chasing away the misery of summer heat
I count each and every leaf that falls
I kick the leaves and send them flying
How I laugh at this childish feat
But I love this time of year so
I hate to see winters arrival
The icy death that never seems to want to go
The coldness that eats away at warmth
No! No! Let autumn last forever and ever
Its so beautiful to see and a comfort to live
I'd say make it perpetual, this autumn weather
Autumn is the time of year with everything to give
